This book deals with urban leisure policy in a European context. The book consists of three sections. The first incorporates chapters relating to the politics of the state and the development of leisure policies that aim to address urban problems. The second section reviews case studies of particular initiatives, evaluating their rationales and assessing their impact on target populations.
